How does it work?

Happy Vet with Happy Dog All cases are seen only on referral from your Vet to ensure that any medical conditions that may be relevant are fully understood and taken into consideration when drawing up a treatment plan.

Once referred, a home visit for an Initial Consultation is arranged in order to fully understand the nature of the problem, background history, the pet’s environment and your goals. A practical behaviour modification program will be discussed based on this assessment, which may be reviewed on an ongoing basis depending on the nature of the problem(s).

The Initial Consultation cost includes a full written report highlighting all relevant findings from the assessment and discussion with the owner. The report details the recommendations made and actions required to implement an effective treatment plan.
A copy of this report is also sent to the referring Veterinary Surgeon.

In some cases, follow up consultations may not be necessary but more complex cases (such as aggression) may require several consultations and ongoing support. The requirement for follow up consultations will be discussed at the Initial Consultation.

In all cases, a telephone follow-up will occur, usually within 2 weeks. This incurs no extra cost and allows progress to be recorded and the need for any further Consultations to be assessed.
